Description
Main issues that surfaced when I tried to build a photoblog with Habari: - Images are full-size in the feeds; this might cause issues with feed readers (especially on mobile devices, a 1MB download is no fun), plus, bandwidth concerns are realistic. - It would be terrific to have an archive overview of all images, cropped and scaled down, but it's hard to pull all posts together in one page. Scaling full-size posted images down also isn't very scalable. A 150x150px JPEG loads a fair amount faster, and makes more sense for an overview page (and for feeds).
Other features could include EXIF handling (I shoot film, so it's silly for me, but it's realistic), date shot instead of date posted and an extended geotagging system like on Flickr – Google Maps or OpenStreetMap with geodata and a photo per location.
